.From the age of four when he started playing piano, Aaron Monteverde was said by his teachers to have “a rare and extraordinary talent.” Born in Gibraltar he won various local piano and talent competitions and was talent-spotted by the renowned Spanish Composer and Pianist, Felipe Campuzano, who tutored the young pianist for many years. Aaron then continued his music education obtaining a First Class BA (Hons) Music degree from the University of Chichester and post-graduate studies (Advanced Diploma and (MMus) Masters Degree in Music Composition and Performance) at Trinity College of Music in London where he studied with Professor Jonathan “Yonty” Solomon, Fellow of the Royal College of Music. Since then he’s continued developing his experience as a performer by playing solo recitals and concerts featuring his own compositions and arrangements throughout Spain – where he’s played for the Spanish Royal Family – Gibraltar and further afield; from a VIP concert at the Royal Courts of Justice celebrating “Gibraltar National Day in London” to Taipei’s National Flamenco Festival and the Variety Club Showbiz Awards at the Grosvenor Park Hotel in London. He was selected from a large group of internationally-renowned pianists to represent Steinway & Sons for a piano tour of Andalucía and in 2012 he composed and performed material for the Gypsy Kings’ album, “Legend.”
Aaron Monteverde brings something fresh and original to his performances, thrilling audiences with a vibrant, passionate, Flamenco-inspired style that is very much his own. This is what some of the audience members said following his performance at a charity concert on 17th January 2014:
‘A one-of-a-kind concert artist….the piano is on fire.’
‘Played with burning passion and astonishing accuracy.’
‘Prepare to be blown away by this young, Flamenco pianist.’
In January 2014 he launched his UK performing career and now lives in Surrey. He has a number of concerts, recitals and master-classes booked throughout 2014/2015.
